About this work
Soup plate of porcelain, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, black and gold. On the flat surface the coat of arms of the Mertins and Peck families. The coat of arms is surrounded by leafy garlands, the crest is an anchor. On the wall a band with honeycomb pattern with flowers interrupted by four lobed cartouches with luck symbols (ruyi scepter, book scrolls) and a spearhead border. On the rim a band with flower garlands. Two cracks in the rim, one of which has been restored with a staple. Heraldic porcelain in enamel colors.
