Ovoid tea caddy with the arms of the De Neufville family

Egg-shaped porcelain tea caddy with ribbed wall, painted on the glaze in blue, red, black and gold. On the body the coat of arms of the De Neufville family. The coat of arms consists of four towers and a golden St Andrew's cross with an anchor in the middle. The shape of the shield is in Louis XIV style with the griffin as crest on top. The coat of arms is surrounded by a mantling of leaf scrolls. Around the foot a band with scrollwork in relief. On the shoulder a band of lotus scrolls and a spearhead border. The lid with a knob in the form of a peach and a decorative band. Lid not matching. Coat of arms porcelain in enamel colours.
