About this work

Porcelain plate, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze in red, pink, green, yellow and black. Decorated in China in underglaze blue with seven separate flower sprigs and a decorative band on the rim. Decorated in Europe with portraits of Princess Wilhelmina and Prince Willem V, married in 1767, with an orange tree between them; on the rim scrolling foliage. Decorated in Europe.
