About this work

Porcelain plate with ribbed wall and scalloped rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, purple, black and gold. On the flat of the plate a medallion with a winged putto holding a lotus branch in his hand; the wall is divided into eight compartments, each with a different pattern against alternating blue, green, purple or pink ground; the compartments are separated by a gold band. Famille rose.
