About this work
Lacquered box with a slightly domed lid. The separate foot has curved legs. Inside the box a tray with five inner boxes (pie-shaped) that together follow the shape of the outer box. Black lacquer with decorations in Hiramaki-e with water landscapes, butterflies and flowers. (inv. no. lid: AK-NM-6137). Note: see also AK-NM-6135.
