About this work
The body of this teapot imitates the trunk of a plum tree. In Chinese culture, the plum blossom is one of the 'three friends of winter,' symbolizing the noble spirit. The highly accomplished potters also transformed the teapot's knop, handle, and spout into prunus branches.
