About this work
Bowl of porcelain with lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue. The wall is modelled in ten compartments. On the flat a decagonal medallion with a woman (long dress) sitting at a table with a lotus flower in her hand; behind her a lotus in a pot on a stool. The wall is divided into ten radiating compartments with alternating a woman with a fan or a branch in an enclosed garden or flowering plants. The outer wall with a continuous flower branch. Marked on the underside with 'yù', jade, in a double circle. Blue and white.
