About this work

Bell-shaped bowl of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. The wall of the bowl is pierced with carved medallions containing floral sprays (prunus, peony, aster, camellia). The underside of the wall features a band of stylized leaf motifs. The outer rim has a band with lacework. The underside and outer rim are unglazed. A chip in the rim. Transitional porcelain in blue and white.
