About this work

Lid of an egg-shaped porcelain box, painted overglaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine and black. The top of the lid features a modeled, scalloped cartouche with a landscape of mountains and trees. A chip in the rim of the box. Decoration in imitation of Chinese kraak porcelain.
