About this work
Porcelain plate with a lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue. The flat surface depicts a European landscape with three Europeans: two by a fence and one holding a cow by a rope. A village is visible in the background. The rim features a wave pattern, and the outer wall is decorated with three flower branches. Four feet on the underside. 'Schevening plate'. Blue and white.
