Girl's Kimono with Camellias
From the collection of Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
About this work
The kimono was altered slightly at the shoulders to fit a young girl's slender figure. The striking decoration of flowering camellia branches contrasts vividly with the black background. A cloud motif woven in the fabric can also be seen, and details of the floral and foliage work are indicated with delicate embroidery.
