About this work

Formal kimono for a girl for her first visit to a Shinto shrine (miyamairi kimono), decorated across the entire surface with flying cranes above stylized water in yellow and orange, with stylized blue clouds on which squares of gold and silver foil of various sizes are scattered. Silk with damask-woven cloud motifs, with painted yuzen decoration, embroidered detailing and gold and silver foil. Lining of red silk.
