About this work

Porcelain plate with a bracket-shaped rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat surface in the centre a medallion with a lotus scroll. Around it a larger medallion with a band of ruyi motifs with radiating petal-shaped compartments with flowering branches; between the compartments lacework. On the body and rim the same band with flowering plants in the compartments. The outer rim with three flowering branches. Marked on the underside with an artemisia leaf in a double circle. Blue and white.
