About this work

Porcelain dish, with rounded, lobed wall, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat surface, a medallion with blooming plants (pine, lotus) behind a fence by a rock; around the medallion, petal-shaped compartments modeled in the wall filled with a stylized flowering branch. The rim is divided into compartments with a floral garland. On the reverse, two branches. A crack in the wall. Blue and white.
