About this work

Cup and saucer of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze red and gold. On the flat of the saucer large, flowering plants (peony, chrysanthemum, aster) behind a rock and a fence; the rim with lacework alternating with a flower branch in a cartouche; the cup with the same decoration, with a flower branch on the base. A crack in the wall of the cup and the saucer. Chinese Imari.
