About this work

Lidded cup of porcelain with a stepped wall, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black and gold. On the outer wall of the cup two warriors with Chinese characters on either side; between them two cartouches with inscriptions. The lid with the same type of decoration with other cartouches and persons. The lid and cup marked with the seal mark of Emperor Daoguang (?). Famille rose.
