About this work

Porcelain cap with a scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the bottom insects among flowering plants; the inner wall is divided into four broad compartments with a peach or flower branch in a scalloped cartouche, between them four narrow compartments with bows; the inner rim with lacework alternating with ruyi motif and fruit branches in cartouches; the outer rim with two flower branches; the outer wall with four scalloped cartouches with dots and four narrow compartments. A chip in the rim. Kraak porcelain.
