About this work

Porcelain plate with raised wall and sloping rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat surface, a raised medallion in the center with six figures in an interior around a table; surrounded by four floral sprays (prunus, peony, lotus, chrysanthemum); the rim with a continuous landscape with scholars and their attendants; the underside of the rim with floral scrolls; the underside of the wall with four floral sprays (prunus, peony, lotus, chrysanthemum). Blue and white.
