About this work
Porcelain plate with raised wall and flat rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat surface a medallion surrounded by petal-shaped compartments; the medallion is filled with a flower branch, rock and insect, in the petal-shaped compartments each time a flower branch (bamboo, chrysanthemum, prunus, pine, etc.); on the rim flower branches; the reverse with two peach branches and a flower branch. Marked on the underside with an artemisia leaf in a double circle. Blue-and-white.
