About this work
Cylindrical, bottle-shaped porcelain vase with a flat shoulder and short neck, painted in underglaze blue and red. On the body a continuous depiction of warriors in a landscape, two on horseback, one looking between two rocks, in the air a cloud dragon; around the shoulder a band with ruyi motif; the neck with a decorative border. On the underside a double circle; wooden lid. Underglaze blue and copper red.
