About this work
Porcelain dish with round wall, painted in underglaze blue and red. The front is covered with bleu poudré (powder blue) with five fish cut out; the back of the wall is also covered with powder blue. Marked on the underside with the Fú symbol, one of the Twelve Antiquities, in a double circle. A chip in the rim. Old label on the underside with 'Vrienden der Aziatische Kunst / R. May'. Underglaze blue with copper red.
