About this work

Statue of porcelain on a hexagonal base, painted on biscuit in green, yellow, aubergine and black. The statue depicts the sitting Zhang GuoLao, one of the Eight Immortals, in a robe with clouds. On his left knee rests his attribute, a bamboo percussion instrument. The hexagonal base is decorated on the front with lacework with here cut out a stylized chrysanthemum, on the back two loose flowers and a rhombus. The sticks of the percussion instrument are broken. Email sur biscuit with famille verte colors.
