About this work

Porcelain plate with a scalloped rim, painted overglaze in blue, red, green, yellow, black, and gold. On the flat the coat of arms of Holland, with the inscription 'HOLLAND', with a flower branch with a bird on either side, two insects above the coat of arms, and a flower branch below; the wall and rim are divided into twelve petal-shaped compartments alternating between a seated man in a landscape, a standing woman in a landscape, or flower vases; the rim with lacework. The reverse with two flower branches. Several chips in the rim. Coat-of-arms porcelain with enamel colors.
