About this work

Porcelain dish with round wall, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow and black. On the flat center a battle scene with two warriors on horseback, next to them an older man on foot; in the background a tent with banners; between the persons some unidentified, incised Chinese characters; the rim with lacework with flower alternating with a flower branch in a cartouche. Several chips and two cracks in the rim. Famille rose.
