About this work

Plate of porcelain, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, black, and gold. On the center two women drinking tea and a dog in a garden by a peony plant and pavilion; a third woman sits in the pavilion; the rim of the center with a tied curtain; on the body a band with half-flower rosettes; the rim with lacework alternating with a chrysanthemum and four lobed cartouches with quails. Decorated in Europe in the Japanese Imari style.
