About this work
Hexagonal porcelain salt cellar with a six-lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in black and gold. In the center, the coat of arms of Hendrik Swellengrebel (French lily); the crest is a crown with antlers. Around the coat of arms, scrollwork and leafy vines. The rim has a band in underglaze blue; the side wall has a band with floral vines in underglaze blue and gold. Heraldic porcelain in blue-and-white and enamel colors.
