About this work

Lid of an egg-shaped lidded pot of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. On the wall two sculpted cartouches, one containing a bird on a rock among plants (pine, bamboo), and the other a flowering plant (peony) by a rock. Stylized floral scrolls between the cartouches. On the knob a stylized flower. The lid has the same decoration. The lid was broken. Blue and white.
