About this work
Porcelain lid with a ring-shaped knob, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze red and gold. The lid is covered in blue with pomegranate branches; within them two oval cartouches with lotus branches and two cartouches with flowering branches on a gold background. In the ring a stylized flower. On the underside a flowering branch in a medallion. Two cracks in the lid. Imari.
