Beheading of James Scott, Duke of Monmouth, in London on 25 July 1685. Monmouth led a rebellion against King James II in 1685. Plate D in the series 'The English Theatre' on the Glorious Revolution and events of the preceding years 1685-1689 (first part). With inscriptions in Dutch and French.
