About this work
The poem consists of three variations on the same theme, each with its own melody: the first column to the tune 'Gavotte or ariaentien u oogis lodderlijck, etc.', the second to the tune 'La belle Iris', and the third and fourth to the tune 'Credijt is Doot'. Finally, at the bottom of column four a epitaph.
