The capture of Porto Calvo from the Portuguese, 13 March 1637. A flying scroll above bearing the title. The legend explains the letters A-I in Latin. Plate no. 8 in a series of 55 depictions of the journey to and the stay in Brazil of Count Johan Maurits of Nassau in the years 1636-1644.
