About this work
An angel in radiant light announces the birth of Christ to three shepherds, depicted in the background left. On a cloud, the angels with their hymn to the shepherds. The left half sings from music books, the right half plays musical instruments. Above them, two angels and a banner with the text: Gloria in excelsis Deo. Below the scene, six verses in Latin and a reference to Luke 2. The print is part of an album.
