About this work
River landscape. Christ tells the parable of the Good Samaritan in answer to a questioner's query about how to determine who one's neighbor is. The parable is depicted above. The Samaritan tends to the wounds of a robbed man, while a priest and a Levite have passed him by. In the background to the right, the Samaritan and the wounded man arrive at the inn (Luke 10:29). With a motto in Latin above the scene and a four-line inscription in Latin below the print. The print is part of an album.
