About this work
Ruins at Misenum, named after Misenus, companion of Hector and hornblower of Aeneas who drowned and was buried here. It was located on the site of the modern Miseno. On the right, several boats. In the foreground, a group of gentlemen and ladies. A boy carries a basket and two jugs. Four lines of text in Italian in the lower margin. The print is part of an album.
