About this work
Some gestures of the men in this scene carry a negative meaning. The man looking into the empty jug is a can-kicker, or drunkard. The gesture of the standing man behind him, with his hand hidden behind his shirt, was associated with laziness. The print is part of a portfolio and is printed with another print on one album leaf.
