Portuguese triumphal arch (front). With statues of women sitting on indigenous animals representing the countries: Ethiopia, India, Mauritania, and Brazil. Erected at the corner of the Huidevettersstraat. Part of the description of the entry of Archduke Ernst in Antwerp, 18 July 1594, by Joannes Bochius, Descriptio publicae gratulationis, spectaculorum et ludorum, in adventu Sereniss. Principis Ernesti Archiducis Austriae, Ex Officina Plantiniana, Antwerp 1595.
