About this work

Siege of the fort Knodsenburg by the Duke of Parma and relief by the army of Prince Maurice, 25 July 1591. The image shows the siege of the fort, the battles between the armies, and the retreat of the Spanish army under Parma. At the bottom Nijmegen, at the top Arnhem, with the Betuwe between the Rhine and the Waal. With a four-line Latin inscription. Numbered 206. Printed on the reverse with Latin text.
