About this work

Album with 36 ornamental prints on 36 sheets. There is one loose guard leaf at the front and two at the back. The album contains designs for various parts of a service set, as well as for other utilitarian objects such as candlesticks and vases. Often the decoration of the objects is adapted to their function or contents. A fish service is decorated with lobsters, eels, and sea monsters, and egg cups, for example, with chickens. The 36 plates are divided into 6 cahiers, which are bound in sequence as a single volume in the album.
