About this work

Representation in two parts. On the left, trees, animals, and nuts from West and East Indies. Three men are climbing on the back of a giant turtle. On the right representation, a temple in which various idols are worshipped. The almanac seller, instrument maker, and philosopher provide insight into the past and future. In the background, a watchtower and several globes and spheres. With a legend in French and Dutch. The print is part of an album.
