History of a Royal Official in Persia; Time with the Mexicans

View in two parts. Left: the king of Persia gives his clothes to a court official. The man guarded the king's treasury but was accused of theft. The king then checked the treasury and searched the man's house. In a locked room the man kept all his possessions he had before he got his position. The room turned out to be completely empty. The right view shows, among others, a painter in Mexico and a time wheel. Behind it is shown how the Mexicans on the last day of a time wheel break all pots. Above it a new beginning is celebrated. With a legend in Dutch and French. The print is part of an album.
