About this work

The personification of Fame holding a trumpet and a flag with the title: Histoire de l'entree ... in her left hand. With her right hand, Fame holds up the portrait of Maria de' Medici. A putto (with a palm branch) holds three crowns nearby. At the bottom lie the personifications of Time, with an hourglass, and Death, with a scythe. The print is part of a book about the visit of Maria de' Medici to the Netherlands.
