About this work
Rhetoricians' procession in Rotterdam, 1642. The procession is preceded by four trumpeters with the city coat of arms, followed by the rhetoricians with their banners. The procession crosses a bridge and passes houses; on the right a quay with boats. Part of the group of steel engravings after the paintings of the Historical Gallery of the Society Arti et Amicitiae.
