About this work

The first scene in the Gasthuisstraat of the rhetoricians' chamber De Goubloem with representations of Saul and David, where Saul stood for Philip II and David for the Prince of Orange. Plate VI in the description of the entry of the Duke of Anjou into Antwerp, 19 February 1582.
