A soldier, full-length, facing right, seen from the back, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his left hand near his left thigh (no. 24), ca. 1600. In his left hand, besides the musket, a match; on his left wrist a fork (musket fork). With his right hand he pours powder from a powder measure into the barrel, which points diagonally upward. Plate 24 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte onderrechtinghe op de figuerlicke afbeeldinghe, soo veel aengaet het recht ghebruyck van Musquet.
