About this work

Statement of the initiative group for the creation and placement of a new monument commemorating the Battle of Heiligerlee on 23 May 1568 and the death of Count Adolf of Nassau in this battle. Statement of the gypsum design by sculptor J. Geefs after the design of J.H. Egenberger. Also included is a reprint of 4 pages from Bijdr. van Gron., vol. VI, p. 46 (1869), with an overview of the plates of the Battle of Heiligerlee and the photographs of the gypsum model, by J.T. Bodel Nijenhuis. Also included are the four photographs of this gypsum model.
