Title page of the pamphlet Boeren-Litanie ofte Clachte der Kempensche Landt-lieden, with an allegory against the Spanish peace proposals, 1607. Two men (a Turk with a turban and club and a scholar) and two women (Netherlands or Liberty with privileges and Discord with snake hair) facing each other. On the ground lie the sword and the hat of liberty, here indicated as slavery.
