Map of the siege and capture of Menen by the Allies under General E.W. von Salisch on 22 August 1706. At the top the legend and the course of the battle between 3 and 22 August in Dutch. Numbered in the lower right: Tom. II. No. 28. Illustration in the second part of: [Jean] du Mont, Military description of the battles and sieges of the three ... famous generals... Prince Eugene of Savoy, the ... Duke of Marlborough, and the Prince of Orange and Nassau-Vriesland, in the edition of 1729. This second part is mainly devoted to the deeds of the Duke of Marlborough and Prince John William Friso.
