About this work

Relief of the city of Turin, besieged by the French, by the Allies under Eugene of Savoy on 7 September 1706. The central depiction of the siege in a richly decorated ornamental frame with a cartouche at the top containing a map of the siege. At the bottom a cartouche with the description of the events in German and two chained prisoners. Sheet in the bound collection of plates published under the title: Repraesentatio belli ... Der Spanische Successions-Krieg [ca. 1720].
