The Stone Cutter of 1720

Satirical print on the people who were so foolish as to participate in the wind trade in 1720. The victims have quacks cut the stone from their heads. In the foreground, a jester wipes his bottom with a share; at the top, a monk (Brother Cornelis) whips the buttocks of a nun, also with various small figures and fools. Many visual elements borrowed from older prints. All details have inscriptions in Dutch. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of *Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid* with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
