The Little Man Rosmarinus van Schaaphuisen, the shepherd on whom Laudate or the Joking Shepherdess is in love. Verses in German, French, and Dutch in the caption. Print within a decorative border printed from a separate plate with costumed monkeys, at the bottom a little Chinese man smoking an opium pipe. Numbered right center: 24. Part of the Dutch bound edition of 1716 of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, copied from an older German model.
